Greason Internet is more than just another internet company… we are a 1st amendment provider! This fundamental difference shapes our mission in Central Pennsylvania, which consists of three main objectives:

We are here to give our family, friends, and neighbors an affordable local alternative for internet service. With limited options, many customers are forced to accept whatever speed they can get, at whatever price the company wants to charge, and it goes up every year. It is our goal to always provide an option for the services we have all come to depend on. That is why, in addition to providing internet and TV services, we also run the CV Flyer, an online venue where locals can congregate and share news, classifieds, events, and more without censorship.

We built our company with open source Linux from the ground up, and you should to! The business model ISPs are utilzing was created in the 1980s with the advent of cable television, before the wide spread adaptation of the internet. Back in those days, phone companies provided internet connections via phone lines. With the creation of the DOCSIS standard in the mid 1990s, new modems were created that allowed the cable companies to utilize their co-axial network to serve internet packets. While upgrades have been made, it is largely still the same model today.

With the rise of independently owned WISPs, an opportunity exists to redefine the industry itself. Since we own the data center, internet connection, and have the proper skillset, it makes sense for us to also run the community website that allows our neighbors to share news, classifieds, events, and more. Of course, we provide the internet as well, but we view it simply as a utility. We specialize in selling and servicing open source devices that connect to the internet utility. These devices could be surveillance cameras, access points, telephones, or something else! Let one trusted company handle all your IT needs.

These three objectives serve as the foundation of our company’s mission. By building a more decentralized world, we build a place where people can freely communicate about the pressing issues of the day without fear of being turned off or shut down.
